Retail Store Associate/Cashier

We are seeking a friendly, Reliable, and efficient Cashier/Stocker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and assist with stocking and maintaining the seafood department.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, is comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment, and takes pride in keeping the store clean, organized, and well-stocked.

Schedule

Monday – Saturday

• AM Shift: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• PM Shift: 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and care.
• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Answer customer questions and assist with product selection when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Promote products, specials, and promotions to increase sales.
• Restock shelves and maintain proper inventory levels.
• Set up, maintain, and restock the seafood display.
• Ensure seafood and other perishable products are properly presented and handled.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Assist with general cleaning and organization throughout the store.
• Answer the phone and assist customers with basic inquiries when needed.
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, food safety, and customer service.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous retail, cashier, grocery, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong cash-handling and basic math skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using a POS system.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely handle seafood and other food products.
• Food Handler Certification preferred, but not required.

Compensation

Starting pay: $14/hour + Tips
