Engineering Manager

We are representing a 500+ person manufacturing facility, part of a globally recognized organization, actively seeking an Engineering Manager to drive process control and continuous improvement across a complex manufacturing operation. This role will lead a team of process engineers, ensuring manufacturing processes meet stringent internal quality standards while reducing variability and driving standardization.

Position Overview

• Leads and mentors a team of process owners responsible for key manufacturing processes across the operation
• Defines short- and long-term goals for each process to improve control, reduce scrap and rework, improve cost, and support operations
• Sets performance measures and KPIs for the team, tracking progress against productivity and quality goals
• Defines and monitors key input/output variables and drives improvement to reduce scrap and rework
• Serves as the overall authority for process control, ensuring manufacturing steps meet engineering requirements and internal quality standards
• Implements statistical process control (SPC) and real-time monitoring to ensure process stability
• Drives down scrap and rework rates through root cause analysis and corrective action
• Leads capital project work from concept through production release
• Leads process improvement initiatives (scrap/rework reduction, cost reduction, cycle time reduction) using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Supports the transition to advanced manufacturing methods and growing use of data/analytics in process control
• Develops business continuity plans for equipment and process readiness
• Collaborates across sites to share and adopt best practices, maximizing first-pass quality and output

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, or related technical field preferred)
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 1+ year of leadership experience
• Proven experience managing teams of engineers or process owners
• Strong understanding of quality management systems in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
• Comfortable operating with composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
