Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Custodial Manager to oversee custodial operations across multiple client locations throughout Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Byron Center, and surrounding communities.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing approximately 30 employees, ensuring service quality, supporting staff development, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable leading teams across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial teams across multiple client sites throughout West Michigan
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily operational needs
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are consistently met
• Train, coach, and develop supervisors and custodial staff
• Assist with custodial duties when necessary to support operations
• Maintain communication with employees, clients, and company leadership
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies
• Address staffing challenges, client concerns, and operational issues promptly
• Enforce safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client locations

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience
• Minimum 3 years of commercial floor care experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities effectively
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout West Michigan
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass background and motor vehicle record checks
