Overview
In this role you will develop and improve Gentex automated manufacturing systems with a robotics focus, collaborating with engineers to standardize solutions and drive improvement. You'll analyze data from Gentex software to identify enhancements and deploy new robotic processes. The position emphasizes hands-on programming, hardware-software evaluation, and proactive maintenance while shaping scalable automation in production. You'll join a quality-driven team delivering advanced technology across evolving industries.
Responsibilities- Support and improve existing automated systems
- Identify areas for improvement in automated equipment
- Analyze data from software systems to drive enhancements
- Develop programs for new and existing equipment using online and offline techniques
- Participate in hardware/software evaluation for automated equipment
- Collaborate to standardize automation solutions across similar equipment
- Assist in development of new manufacturing processes
- Coordinate with production support during equipment/software launches
- Research and develop new robotic solutions for automation
- Address obsolescence and work with maintenance on spare parts and upkeep
- Other duties as assigned
- 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent controls engineering experience
- At least 3 years of experience designing, programming or integrating automated equipment and robotic solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
