Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Portfolio Execution & Change Adoption
- Own execution of the Company’s technology roadmap end to end — sequencing initiatives, managing the annual budget and investment plan, and deciding when external expertise or technology partners are needed.
- Build deep working knowledge of the Company’s operations by working hands-on with department leaders to surface workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Own change management, education, and adoption for major technology initiatives, and build department leaders’ capacity to implement and own their own technology-enabled process improvements.
- Own post-implementation performance — building business cases with the VP of Finance, establishing adoption metrics, and using implementation results and feedback to continuously improve outcomes.
Technology Direction, AI & Data
- Shape technology direction in partnership with the VP of Finance, prioritizing business need in investment decisions.
- Lead the Company’s AI strategy — evaluating use cases, running pilots, and identifying practical opportunities across business processes, productivity, and decision-making — while establishing AI governance as a distinct discipline from adoption and training.
- Own the Company’s long-term data architecture and strategy, building the foundation for a centralized data warehouse and driving improvement in data quality, consistency, and trust.
- Provide strategic leadership for the Company’s ERP environment and the broader technology ecosystem — CRM, financial planning, collaboration, and other enterprise applications — maximizing existing investments and improving integration before adding new systems or complexity.
IT Leadership, Operations & Risk
- Lead, develop, and grow the internal IT team — establishing clear roles, priorities, and accountability, while the IT Manager owns day-to-day infrastructure, network administration, and end-user support across the Company’s locations.
- Remain accountable for the overall reliability, performance, and effectiveness of the technology environment, building the IT team’s capabilities, processes, and service levels over time.
- Ensure the Company’s cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and business continuity — building policies, backup/disaster-recovery, and incident-response capabilities remain best in class.
