Who We Are

Founded in 1982, Hedrick Associates is a leading manufacturers’ representative firm specializing in precision HVAC and critical power solutions. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, we serve customers across Michigan and Northern Indiana. With a team of over 50 professionals—including sales engineers, technical support staff, and manufacturer-certified field technicians—we offer unmatched expertise and customer support at every stage of an engineered project. Our strong partnerships with top manufacturers and decades of industry experience make us a trusted resource for consulting engineers, contractors, and end users alike.

Who You Are

You're a technically minded problem solver who likes helping customers find the right answer and explaining it clearly. You're detail-oriented and take pride in getting quotes, orders, and paperwork right the first time. When a customer is frustrated, you stay calm and professional, and you know when an issue needs to be escalated. You can keep several projects moving at once without missing a deadline. You build strong working relationships with contractors, end users, manufacturers, vendors, and your own coworkers. You plan and organize your own work and don't need close supervision.

What You'll Do

The Inside Sales and Technical Support Associate works alongside our Outside Sales team. You’ll prepare quotes and manage project details from the first quote through order placement, and you’ll be the go-to technical resource for customers who call in with questions about the products Hedrick represents.

· Answer technical support and application calls on all products Hedrick represents.

· Help contractors and end users with equipment selection and design, and support them through installation, pre-startup, startup, and post-startup.

· Prepare proposals, technical documentation, and submittal drawings for customers.

· Place orders with manufacturers and vendors, and keep project data up to date in Hedrick's software.

· Compile and enter startup, warranty, and back-charge paperwork into Hedrick and manufacturer software.

· Work with factory technical support to resolve application, design, service, and warranty issues.

· Give contractors and end users technical and service training as needed, including occasional site visits.

· Help the Parts Manager with warehouse work, parts sales, and inventory management as needed.

· Attend customer events, such as Lunch & Learns, when approved by the Inside Sales Manager.
