Overview
As Manager, Data Engineering you lead the data engineering function to design, build, and optimize data models and pipelines that enable self-service analytics across LMCU. You manage Senior Data Engineers, set standards, and ensure scalable, secure data solutions aligned with business goals. You partner cross-functionally to translate needs into robust data platforms for reporting and decision-making. This role combines leadership with hands-on architecture in a banking environment, offering high-impact work and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

- Lead and coach the Senior Data Engineers, prioritizing work and guiding delivery
- Establish enterprise standards for data modeling, ETL/ELT development, orchestration, and architecture
- Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and optimization of data pipelines and data migrations across core platforms
- Ensure pipelines and models are reliable, secure, well-documented, and observable with quality controls
- Collaborate with BI, Data Governance, Application Development, Infrastructure, vendors, and stakeholders to translate needs into scalable solutions
- Deliver trusted self-service analytics with governed data products for reporting and analytics
- Adhere to and promote core values of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous excellence
- Support and enable governance, data lineage, and documentation best practices
- 8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, data architecture, data warehousing, or data platform development with leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or significant equivalent experience)
