Overview

North End Community Ministry (NECM) is a growing non-profit organization that provides direly needed food through its ‘Client Choice’ Food Pantry for people in need of immediate hunger relief and address the root causes of poverty. A variety of Programs and Services for our neighbors in NE Grand Rapids are offered to equip people with needed skills to improve their quality of life. For over 55 years, NECM has served as a ‘lighthouse of hope’ to some of our most vulnerable neighbors in need and is vital to the community as it serves as a safety net that strengthens public health and supports the local economy.

Job Responsibilities

The Assistant Director will assist the Executive Director in facilitating the

Administration, Operations and Surveillance of the ministry through

~Teamwork

~Positive Communications

~Volunteer Support

~Public Relations

~Community Engagement

~Fundraising

~Board & Governance Support

• Experience: At least 5 years of working experience with a non-profit, such as a food pantry or outreach ministry
• Leadership: Proven skill in managing people and projects
• Communication: Strong Speaking and Writing Skills
• Tech Skills: Good knowledge of office software, databases and social media
• Education: College Degree Highly Recommended

Location: Grand Rapids, MI
