Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods, ensuring respectful and effective communication at each doorstep
• Use mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track progress in real-time
• Educate community members about the purpose of outreach efforts, answer questions, and address concerns confidently
• Build rapport with diverse populations, including bilingual residents, to maximize outreach effectiveness
• Participate in community events or outdoor work activities to enhance visibility and engagement efforts
• Collaborate with team members to achieve outreach goals and share best practices for conversational engagement

Requirements

• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect face-to-face and listen actively
• Experience in customer service or fundraising roles that involve outdoor work and community interaction
• Ability to walk extensively during shifts and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus to effectively engage diverse communities
• Familiarity with mobile devices for data entry and communication purposes
• Supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for team collaboration and guidance
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and work independently or as part of a team
