Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Custodial Operations Manager to oversee multi-site custodial operations and support frontline teams across assigned locations in the Greater Grand Rapids area. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in commercial cleaning management, quality assurance, employee development, and operational excellence.

Compensation: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)
• Primarily 2nd shift, with occasional day, night, and weekend responsibilities based on business needs
• Travel throughout assigned territory required; mileage reimbursement provided

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support custodial teams across multiple client locations
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and coverage to meet operational demands
• Conduct routine site inspections and quality assurance audits
• Train, and develop team members
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and customer expectations
• Oversee inventory and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Address and resolve service concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support daily operations
• Foster accountability, engagement, and a positive workplace culture

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous supervisory or management experience within custodial, janitorial, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities services
• Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, safety practices, and quality standards
• Experience overseeing multiple locations, accounts, or territories preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams
• Background in hospitality, facilities management, or related service industries is a plus

Language Skills

• English required
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout facilities for extended periods
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations
