Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Grand Rapids, MI, responsible for overseeing commercial roofing and sheet metal projects from planning through completion. This position coordinates project schedules, resources, and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget while meeting quality standards and client expectations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project scopes and drawings, preparing and monitoring timelines, managing material orders and deliveries, and communicating consistently with clients, field crews, and internal stakeholders. The Project Manager tracks progress, identifies and mitigates risks, supports site inspections and safety compliance, and updates project documentation and reports. This role also involves problem-solving on active job sites, facilitating smooth logistics, and maintaining strong professional relationships with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Project Management skills with experience leading construction or roofing projects.
• Expeditor and Expediting capabilities to coordinate materials, approvals, and workflow efficiently.
• Inspection experience and familiarity with safety, quality, and building standards on commercial job sites.
• Logistics Management skills to oversee scheduling, deliveries, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crews, clients, vendors, and inspectors.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in roofing, sheet metal, or commercial construction is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with project management and office software (e.g., MS Office, project scheduling tools).
• Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
