
THE JOB
The Intersection is seeking a Venue Security Manager. The Security Manager is responsible for the overall management of the security department to ensure guest, employee, artist, and venue safety. The Security Manager will also control related costs and ensure total guest satisfaction by guarding, patrolling, monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Operations and the Assistant General Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Move throughout the venue and all areas to visually monitor and take corrective action when needed.
- Provides guidance and improvement and implements necessary adjustments.
- Develop and execute event-specific security plans based on crowd size, artist profile, and risk level.
- Investigates and resolves security complaints. Interacts positively and calmly with guests.
- Write reports of activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Escort individuals to specified locations or provide personal protection.
- Operate detecting devices and searches to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises when necessary.
- Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to the security staff.
- Manage and schedule security staff, including guards, supervisors, and third-party vendors.
- Train and mentor security staff on de-escalation techniques, customer service, and emergency response.
- Regularly reviews and evaluates the department and recommends and implements new operational policies and procedures when necessary.
- Other duties assigned by management.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
- A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying 50 lbs.+ and occasional sitting.
- CPR certified.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $51,500.00 per year
